Welcome in our Guesthouse- Bed & Breakfast

End June 2016 we opened our B&B-Guesthouse. Refurbished from a shed for flower bulbs it lies in the old heart of Katwijk, half a mile from the entrance to the dunes and less than 2 miles from the promenade of Katwijk aan Zee. Each of the spacious rooms has its own layout and is individually furnished.

The B&B lies on a canal and next to bicycle paths which connect it, amongst other destinations, with the historic city of Leiden. It can be easily reached from exit “Katwijk aan den Rijn” on the N206.

We wholeheartedly welcome you in our B&B Het Oude Dorp and will do our utmost to ensure that you have a pleasant stay.

Interesting facts

Established in 1904, the property Wassenaarseweg 49 is one of the oldest remaining buildings in Katwijk aan den Rijn. Originally it served as living quarters of the family van Delft and comprised a nursery with a shed for the flower bulbs next to the living quarters. The nursery was discontinued in the mid-1990s.

In 2013 Kees van Delft and his wife Laura took over the property. In an extensive refurbishment process that lasted for several years they modernised the property and prepared it for its new function. On the front side it now features a (permanently let) appartment, on the back side—including the part that originally served as shed—you find the B&B. Entrance tot he B&B is now on the Jan van der Perkstraat.

The owners Kees van Delft and Laura van der Hulst live close by.

The B&B is located in the old heart of Katwijk aan den Rijn. This village lies between Leiden, Oegstgeest, Noordwijk, and Wassenaar (Zuid-Holland) and the nature area Berkheide-Meijendel.
